šŸ 2026 Race Results & A Massive Thank You! šŸ

Our second Buckeye Skip’s event is officially wrapped, and what an adventure it turned out to be. Racing under a heat index of up to 108° pushed everyone to their limits and earned the name "Hell Week". The heat dome didn’t just challenge the racers… it challenged the cars, the crews, and every plan anyone thought they had. But this community showed up with grit, creativity, and the same safety and fun‑first attitude that defines Buckeye Skip’s.

šŸ”„ Hell Week Survival Stats: Even with record-setting heat, here’s how the field held strong:

•      140 made it to check‑in

•      123 survived Day 1

•      117 survived Day 2

•      110 survived the full event

Those numbers tell the story of a group that refused to quit, and the stories behind those numbers are even better, congratulations everyone!

šŸ”§ Thrash Level: Legendary: This week wasn’t just about racing… it was about surviving.

We saw:

•      A crew that swapped an entire engine

•      Another team that changed their transmission three times

•      Racers installing new rearends and many more parts in the heat

•      Drivers using pool noodles and dryer vents to funnel air into their cars while cruising down the road

•      Not just people fans, but literal fans aimed at drivers, engines, and anyone melting in the pits

•      A theme crew transforming from ā€œBad Luck Bananasā€ to ā€œRed, White, and Brewsā€ before adding others to the fun and wrapping the event as ā€œHawaii Six.0ā€

•      Everyone helping one another and so much more…

It was creative, chaotic, hilarious, and impressive. Exactly the kind of ingenuity that makes drag and drive style racers a different breed.
