Perfect Converter has been in business since 2002, founded by Rick Sigman and Bubba Rafferty. With decades of experience in engine building, transmission repair, and torque converter remanufacturing, they’ve built a reputation for quality work and dependable service. What started as a shop supplying OEM converters to local transmission facilities quickly grew into a trusted name across both automotive and fleet markets.

By 2004, their work caught the attention of racers, leading them to specialize in re‑stalling and refreshing drag racing converters. As racing evolved and speeds increased, they continued to refine their craft, offering custom torque converter solutions tailored to the needs of competitive drivers. Through the mid‑2010s, they became well‑known in both OEM and performance circles, and in 2014 they expanded their involvement in racing by sponsoring a heads‑up and index series.

Perfect Converter brings a mix of experience, craftsmanship, and genuine support for the racing community, and we’re grateful to have them as part of the Buckeye Skip’s family again this year.
