Big 3 Racing Returns as Our Fastest Street Car Sponsor

We are honored to have Big 3 Racing back with us for another year as the sponsor of the Fastest Street Car class. Their support, experience, and connection to the racing community make them a strong part of what we do at Buckeye Skip’s, and we’re glad to have them with us again for 2026.


Big 3 Racing is a Northeast Ohio speed shop now located at Dragway 42. Their team brings a deep background in high‑performance motorsports, tuning, and engine building. The shop is led by three co‑owners who all share the same foundation: local roots, technical training, and a long history of hands‑on racing.


Chuck Stefanski specializes in LS tuning and HP Tuners. His ’81 Grand Safari Wagon has become well known for its performance, running everything from Sick Week to Drag Week with impressive averages and over 2100 horsepower on their Mainline hub dyno.

Rick Trunkett focuses on Ford EFI tuning, forced induction, and Holley EFI. His Mopar‑powered 1972 Plymouth Duster is a standout, making over 2100 horsepower and running deep into the 7s while still maintaining its stock‑appearing look.

Bob Hess Jr. handles engine building and a variety of other roles within the shop. His single‑turbo Gen 3 Hemi Foxbody has run in the 7.30s at over 190 mph, and he’s completed multiple long‑haul racing events without towing a trailer. He also owns a modified Dodge Viper GTS making over 700 wheel horsepower.

Together, the Big 3 Racing team brings a mix of knowledge, craftsmanship, and real‑world racing experience. Their shop continues to grow, and their involvement in events like ours helps support the racers who push the limits every season.
