Buckeye Skip’s 2026 Class Information

We’ve got a full lineup of classes for 2026, giving racers plenty of ways to compete, have fun, and find the class that fits their build. Here’s the complete breakdown of every class and how winners are determined.


Fastest Street Car

A true run‑what‑you‑brung class.

  • Any tire size

  • Any power adder

  • All vehicles must have a diaper or belly pan

  • Must conform to IHRA rules

  • Fastest average wins


Index Classes (4)

8.50 Index, 9.90 Index, 10.90 Index, and 11.50 Index

  • Closest average to the index wins


Dial Your Own

You set your own number day one.

  • Closest average wins


Hard Tire (NASCAR Class)

  • 12.50 and slower

  • Hard tire means daily‑driver tire

  • No drag radials or slicks allowed

  • Closest average wins


Gasser Class

  • 1972 and older

  • No pony cars unless they have a straight axle

  • Must fit the gasser era

  • Final approval is at the event director’s discretion

  • Two chances to win:

    • Fastest average

    • Closest average


Stick Shift Class

If it has a clutch, it fits.

  • Two chances to win:

    • Fastest average

    • Closest average


Truck Class

  • If it has a tailgate, it’s a truck

  • No SUV‑type vehicles

  • Two chances to win:

    • Fastest average

    • Closest average


JR. Street – Young Racers

  • Ages 13 to 16

  • Closest average wins


How Averages Are Determined

All closest‑average classes use your Day One ticket as your baseline.

  • You cannot turn in a faster ticket later

  • If you go faster than your submitted Day One ticket, it does not count as your baseline

  • Your average must stay at or above that first number
